A fire in a construction trailer in Stafford, which touched off a propane tank explosion that left a New Jersey Forest Fire Service worker injured, is under investigation. Police seek contact with individuals familiar with the Monday fire at Clayton Block.

Police responded to the report of a fire on the property at the end of Beachview Avenue at 4:22 PM on September 4. Investigators said that the propane tank was near the older-model trailer.

The state worker sustained what was described as a minor arm injury, and was treated and released at the site, police said.

Investigations continue through Stafford PD Detective Drew Smith and the Ocean County Fire Marshall's Office.

Also responding to the site were members of the Ocean County Sheriff's Department and Prosecutor's Office, the Stafford and Barnegat Township Fire Companies, and the Stafford Township First Aid Squad.
