Causing a raucous at a home on Adelphi Drive in Jackson Sunday night  around 11:30 pm while intoxicated brings charges against a 19-year old.

Patrolman responded to the residence for reports of "an intoxicated male who was described as being out of control."

Police say when they got there, he went into a bedroom and put furniture up against the door.

One of the patrolman spotted the suspect trying to climb out of a bedroom window.

The 19-year old about faced and tried going out of the bedroom door instead.

A patrolman still inside tried arresting the man but a struggle ensued resulting in both of them falling into a wall and onto the floor.

The suspect was then arrested.

The officer needed medical attention from a large cut on his head that was bleeding from the struggle. He was brought to a hospital for treatment.

The 19 year old male was transported to headquarters where he was processed and charged with obstruction, aggravated assault on a police officer and criminal mischief.

He was then brought to a hospital for treatment.
