Is New Jersey among the most lenient states in America for speeding and reckless driving? It is, according to a recent report.

According to Wallet Hub, New Jersey is among the states that is the most lenient on speeding and reckless driving in the nation. So, how does the Garden State rank? Very close to the bottom.

The research found that if you look at all the states, and the District of Columbia, New Jersey ranks 47th. Many factors that were considered in reaching the rankings, and here are some of them.

For example, New Jersey ranks 34th in 'reckless penalties' and and 45th in "speeding enforcement'. The strictest state, according to the report, is Delaware, and the most lenient in the nation is Texas.

New Jersey does rank 10th in how much seeding ticket points count toward suspension, and 50th in the average increase of insurance costs after one speeding ticket.
