Investigation underway for Uncle Dood’s overnight break-in suspect

Toms River Police were on scene early Tuesday morning responding to an overnight break-in at Uncle Dood's Donut's in the downtown area where shattered glass covered the sidewalk.

Investigative detail is not yet available in the early stages of the probe but police were conducting their followup in trying to find the culprit of this mornings break-in.

An undisclosed amount of cash was taken a source tells WOBM News, but no one was inside when the incident occurred.

The popular donut shop has closed today as a result.

"We had a break in last night and will be closed for repairs," Uncle Dood's stated on Facebook this morning. "Sorry for any inconvenience! We will be back making donuts tomorrow morning."
