How To Get Tickets To See The President In Asbury Park

Tickets will be available to the public today to see President Obama speak at Asbury Park's Convention Hall on Tuesday.

Obama returns to the Jersey Shore on Tuesday to see first hand how the area has recovered from Hurricane Sandy. He is scheduled to be joined by Governor Chris Christie and meet with shore families and business owners to get an update on how their rebuilding efforts.

“As residents and businesses prepare for a busy summer season, President Obama will visit the Jersey Shore with Governor Christie on Tuesday to view the ongoing recovery efforts after Hurricane Sandy devastated areas of the coastline last fall,' said the White House in a statement announcing Obama's visit.

He will end his tour at Asbury Park's Convention Hall where he will make comments on Tuesday afternoon.

Tickets are available starting at 1 p.m on Sunday. at the south side of the Grand Arcade at Convention Hall on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tickets are limited to one ticket per person according to a statement issued by Monmouth County Democrats.

The Political Implications Of Obama's Visit

Some political observers say the timing is bad for struggling Democrat candidate for Governor, Barbara Buono. Christie has struck a tone of compromise with Obama and while critical of the President's policies he has welcomed Obama and whatever federal assistance he can offer New Jersey.

Photos of Christie and Obama embracing still draw criticism from conservative Republicans.

“We’re glad the president is coming to see the rebuilding of the shore and to support the thousands of families and businesses who are still recovering after Sandy,” Buono communications director David Turner told ABC News.
