Holmdel Police investigating what led to Sunday crash that left a bicyclist unconscious

Police in Holmdel are hoping you can help them piece together a Sunday morning accident that left a bicyclist lying unconscious in the road after being hit by a car.

Investigators say the woman regained consciousness by the time they arrived on scene at Crawfords Corner Road near Timberdale Drive around 11 am.

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries including lacerations but seemed disoriented, police said when they arrived.

She was then transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center for treatment of those injuries.

No charges have been reportedly filed against the driver who did remain on scene following the crash.

The cause of the accident is unknown and under investigation.
