Holmdel house burglars yank out electric meter, police say
Desperate burglars will stop at nothing. Holmdel police are advising property owners to keep homes and vehicles locked, grounds well-lit and alarms active after a brazen Monday night break-in.
Officers responding to an alarm on Indian Creek Road at about 8:20 PM found the electric meter ripped out, and the front door forced open, authorities said.
Despite the meter destruction, an alarm sounded, and the suspect, or suspects, fled, police said.
