On WOBM AM's Townsquare Tonight, Toms River Councilman Maurice "Mo" Hill said if selected to run, as a former Navy Admiral he can bring something to Washington that may prove even more valuable than a multi-million dollar bank account: the connections to help protect Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst from future Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) decisions.

"If these BRAC's come along they're going to be staffed by one and two-star Admirals and Generals and I'm in that fraternity. So if I'm down in D.C. and they start a BRAC procedure, I'm going to be able to talk with the people that are going to be staffing it," Hill said.

As a career dentist, Hill is also interested in making changes to Obamacare. He said he conducted his own followup investigation into the Republican idea of incorporating Tort Reform into the Affordable Care Act and reached out to the Texas Medical Association which started Tort Reforms in 2003.

"I wanted to know the economic impact," Hill said.  "What it's done is there's been a 56% decrease in malpractice premiums." he explained. "Now what has that led to? It's led to an increase in the physician population in Texas and an increase more importantly in specialties who were the one's who were most sued," he continued. "Now you've got an increase in physicians. You've got a relatively static supply of patients. That's gonna drive cost down just if you use the economic indicators," Hill explained.

However, according to other media sources, GOP leaders from Ocean and Burlington Counties appear to be lining up to support ex-insurance company executive and multimillionaire Tom MacArthur.
