Helpful Hints – Things To Do With Lemons

Marianne is back and she's got some brand new Helpful Hints.  Today we have Things To Do With Lemons:

• Clean your cheese grater - use the pulpy side of the lemon to dislodge leftover food and to add a fresh scent
• Keep potatoes white - submerge cut potatoes in a bowl and squeeze in fresh lemon; cook as usual
• Keep shower curtain fresh & clean - rub shower curtain with lemon juice to avoid mildew
• Shine your faucets - rub lemon over chrome faucets and rinse with water
• Make ink stains disappear - rub half a lemon into stain on any washable fabric and toss into cold water wash
• Brighten your whites - instead of using bleach, add 1/4 cup lemon juice to your wash cycle
