Can someone please explain why I have to pay more for a pair of cut off jeans than long legged ones? Isn't it like 3/4 of the material? Oh yeah, fashion that's why. Well, here's how you can get those fashionable shorts without spending a dime.

Step 1: Try on your jeans figure how short or how long you'd like them to be, then mark it with a pin or chalk.

Step 2: Using a ruler draw a line (pencil, chalk or soap works) where you plan to cut. For more of a fashionable look angle the line downward to create a slight "V"

Step 3: Using sharp scissors follow the line one leg at a time.

Step 4: Throw them in the wash for the "fray" look.

Note: If you are planning on making "cuffed" shorts when measuring add 2 inches to the length.

There you go, and with the money you saved go buy yourself a new pair of sandals to go with them.
