A Freehold Borough man is flown by medivac to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick on Sunday after his 2001 Black Jeep Cherokee veered off Ryan Road in Marlboro Sunday and hit a tree.

The driver, 23-year old Yoshio Dominguez-Romero was hospitalized with non-disclosed injuries at RWJ following the accident.

His passenger, 49-year old Faustino Mendez-Romero of Freehold Borough was treated for non-life threatening injuries at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation as police determine why the vehicle left the road.

Ryan Road was closed off for about three hours on Sunday as police investigated the scene.
