The founder and Executive Director of a Monmouth County-based charity makes a prestigious list. Move for Hunger's Adam Lowy is on Forbes Magazine's annual 30 Under 30 List. The list recognizes 30 people under age 30 who are making waves in their respective industries.

28 year old Lowy said he began the charity four years ago in Neptune Township by collecting nonperishable food from customers of family's moving company, Lowy's Moving Service. "We've grown now from what started with Lowy's to now work with over 560 moving companies, 5,000 realtors across North America and we feed over 2 million people in need so far," according to Lowy.

Lowy isn't planning on resting on the accolades because he said with an estimated 50 million Americans who are going to bed hungry every night, they've got so much more to do. "So we're working harder than ever to raise awareness about this cause. We're organizing food drives and events. We're going to get students involved this year and are launching some new programs for students who want to fight hunger in their communities and we're working with realtors again as well," explained Lowy.
