MOUNT HOLLY - A former Camden County police officer, accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl in Riverton in November 2016, awaits arraingment on the way to a possible trial on five related charges.

Tyler J. Chrupcala, 25, of Riverton, was indicted Tuesday by Burlington County grand jury for four second-degree counts of sexual assault and a third-degree charge of child endangerment, according to the office of County Prosecutor Scott Coffina's office.

Shielding the alleged victim's identity, age, and the place in which the crime allegedly took place, investigators said only that it occurred in a residence in Riverton, and that the girl contacted police.

Assistant Prosecutor Stephen Eife, supervisor of the Prosecutor's Sexual Assault-Child Abuse Unit, conducts the prosecution. Authorities did not indicate whether Chrupcala retained legal representation

Charges are accusations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless, and until, found guilty in a court of law.
