LAKEWOOD — An employee at a Jersey Shore indoor shooting range accidently shot himself in the hand on Monday.

Lakewood Police said a 61-year-old man was retrieving a rental gun from a storage cabinet at the Garden State Shooting Center when the a bullet from the gun was fired into his left hand. The bullet also exited from the Neptune resident's hand.

Several customers and another employee were inside the range on Swarthmore Avenue at the time of the incident, including two young boys, according to police.

The man was treated at Brick Hospital and is expected to make a complete recovery.
