The very end of the weekend could bring a coastal storm to the Jersey Shore with strong winds and heavy rain late Sunday.

Our meteorologist Dan Zarrow says it a sure bet on Sunday that we'll be dealing with an inch of rain and wind gusts of up to 45 mph. And there is a possibility it could even be worse than that.

Dan's "Worst Case scenario" says there is a possibility that,  "depending on track and timing of tropical disturbance, a period of truly torrential rain could pass overhead Sunday evening (after 5pm). In this scenario, widespread rainfall totals of 3 to 5+ inches would be on the table".

Of course, Dan will be watching this coastal storm very carefully, and you can stay up to date with the latest info on it by checking Dan's weather blog regularly throughout the weekend.
