Chuck BARRIS Dies at 87

What a coincidence that we lost both CHUCK BERRY and CHUCK BARRIS in the same week. BARRIS was 87, and created game shows such as "the Newlywed Game," "the Dating Game," and the show he hosted called "the Gong Show." Barris' connection to New Jersey is a song he wrote called "Palisades Park" - a huge hit about a long gone and beloved New Jersey amusement park. The song was intended for Dion, but wound up being recorded by Freddy Cannon. Coincidentally, Barris died in Palisades, New York.
