Check In On Your Neighbors

Yesterday I was about to take my dog out for a walk. When I started walking down the street I heard someone yelling from across the way.  I looked over saw my neighbor laying in the driveway unable to get up. I brought the dog in the house and called the local police department before going over to help her.

Once I was able to get to her, she said she had been gardening in her yard, tripped, fell and crawled over to the front door in attempt to get inside to call someone for help. She wasn't able to get up and fell onto her back on the driveway. She said she was there for three hours, it was very hot out yesterday and if I didn't find her who knows what would have happened to her.

So keep an eye out this summer, if you have elderly neighbors. Go over to their house ring the doorbell make sure they are okay or if they are outside go over and lend a hand instead of letting them stay outside in the heat.
