Defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo reportedly serves as interim head coach.

McAdoo told ESPN of his dismissal. He helmed the team the past two years, leading it to an 11-5 record last year, but this year encountering insurmountable injuries, player sanctions and the widely-disparaged benching of veteran quarterback Eli Manning.

The Giant's 2-10 record is worst in the NFC East, and rivals only that of the lowly San Francisco 49ers for fewest wins in the entire conference.

Reese spent 10 years as the Giant's GM, and had taken various roles since 2004.
