The man suspected of gunning down a victim in cold blood in Burlington County last September heads for arraignment, and possibly to trial, charged with first-degree murder.

Anthony M. Harris, 31, of Beverly City, also faces three second-degree weapons charges in the indictment reached July 27, and revealed today, by Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina.

Harris is accused of using a handgun to kill Ronald Walker, 27, in Florence, on Sepbember 21, 2016. Investigators allege that Harris was part of a group from Beverly City that traveled to Florence and instigated a fight with residents on Zinc Street, an alley that runs between Second and Third Streets.

Walker, of Florience, was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival at Lourdes Medical Center in Willingboro. The autopsy report indicated that a bullet wound to the chest was the cause of death.

Harris was arrested May 23 of this year, in Falls Township, Pennsyvlania. The probe and the arrest entailed members of the Burlington County Sheriff's Department, police from Florence, Willingboro and Pemberton, New Jersey State Police, and U.S. Marshals Service NY-NJ Regional Task Force.

Charges are accusations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless, and until, found guilty in a court of law.
