Brazen Midday Bank Holdup Probed in Toms River

The suspect in the robbery of a TD Bank branch in Toms River just before noon today is under hot pursuit by township police.
According to Police Chief Mike Mastronardy, no weapon was visible, but witnesses at the branch on Route 9 just south of Route 70 got a detailed description.
Investigators are looking for a white male, about 5'2" tall, roughly 30 years of age, with a stubby goatee. He was seen clad in a red plaid hunter's cap, dark pants and black gloves. Police were told that he ran off in the direction of a nearby McDonald's.
Authorities urge you to contact them if you have any information that can help lead to the suspect's capture, arrest and conviction.
