Joseph McGinley, 37, of Coatesville, PA, was cited for careless driving in the aftermath of the crash that forced detours around the site for about an hour while all vehicles involved were towed.

Denise Brown, 64, of Manahawkin, Michael Kirk, 37, of Forked River, and Charity Quinn, 70, of Radnor, PA, were treated at Southern Ocean Medical Center after the collision that was reported at about 12:30 PM.

Investigators believe that McGinley's westbound tractor trailer impacted Brown's Nissan sedan near Marsha Drive, and continued on into Quinn's Honda CRV and Kirk's Ford Focus.

The impact propelled Kirk's car into a truck driven by Robert Esterlund of Bellmawr, NJ, police said, adding that neither Esterlund nor McGinley sustained injuries.
