Bruce N. Harrison, 39, of Beach Haven, turned himself, and was released to await court proceedings, stemming from an exchange in December 2016, police said.

According to police, the victim reported in February that Harrison claimed to work for a local contracting company, produced a bogus invoice-proposal, and took a deposit in the amount of $3,600.

Harrison is charged with theft by deception, failure to obtain state registration, failure to place a registration number on a contract, failure to show proof of insurance and failure to add a cancellation notice to the contract.

Anyone who has experienced similar dealings with Harrison in Long Beach or Barnegat Light should contact Long Beach PD Detective Angelo Fiorentino, 609-361-2070.
