I began my career in 1984 as a part-time board-op at Philadelphia’s Sunny 104.5 FM, having come from a radio family (my father was legendary Philly morning man Don Cannon). There through my association with other talented broadcasters of the day (Andre Gardner, Dennis Malloy and Eric Johnson to name just a few) I learned the basic radio skills that I employ to this day: commercial production, station imaging, voice-overs, music programming, and eventually on-air talent. I landed my first on-air job in 1985 at 1540 WPGR AM, a station playing only Beatles & Motown (true story!). My big break came in late 1990 when I was offered the 7 p.m. to midnight shift on what had now become Star 104.5 FM, where for many years I hosted a love song call-in show called "Between The Sheets.” Later I would go on do do PM Drive for 95.7 Jammin’ Gold (also serving as Assistant Program Director), followed by a return to 104.5 FM as Morning Drive Host. For the last several years I have been happily employed by New Jersey 101.5 FM, working as Assistant Program Director, Creative Services Director, commercial voice and DJ. It's a position that allows me to highlight the skills I was taught long ago, yet still enjoy to this day.
