Atlantic City Police say a 4-month-long investigation by the department’s violent crimes unit has lead to the arrest of 27-year-old Seifullah Abdullah in connection to a shooting that happened this past summer.

Cops say back on the night of August 27th, officers responded to ARMC-City for the report of a man who had been shot and taken to the hospital. An investigation concluded that the 21-year-old man had been wounded in the area of Indiana and Hummock Avenues.

On Wednesday, a warrant was issued for Abdullah, who was arrested Thursday morning in Atlantic City. Abdullah has been charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, and certain person not to possess a weapon; he was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
