Assemblymen Work To Prevent Release Of Gun Owner Names

New legislation to protect the names and addresses of legal-gun owners is being crafted by Shore area lawmakers.  

Assemblymen Dave Rible and Ron Dancer are working to ban the practice after a New York newspaper published the private information, vowing to release more names.  Rible says many retired police officers have gun permits and the information could be used by criminals.

They will introduce it next week.
