11:41 a.m. UPDATE: The Amber Alert was canceled as Oscar Hernandez was taken into custody and Sofia Hernandez safely recovered in western Pennsylvania.

TRENTON — An Amber Alert was issued Friday in connection with a stabbing in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

State Police said Oscar Hernandez entered a home in Bridgeport, Connecticut and stabbed two people inside. He then abducted Aylin Sofia Hernandez, a 6-year-old girl and left the scene in a 2017 Hyundai Sonata with Connecticut license registration AG91925.

The girl is described as white/Hispanic with black hair, brown eyes, weighing 55 pounds and standing 4 feet tall.

Police said the they may be driving through New Jersey enroute to Pennsylvania..

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the pair should dial 911.
