Air Force Airmen with shore ties complete basic training

A couple of budding Air Force enlistees, with strong ties to Ocean County, advance toward the wild blue yonder.

Airmen Jordan Ranski and Dominic Mazza completed basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in Texas.

Ranski is a 2015 alumnus of Manchester Township High School, son of Devi and Glen Ranski of Manchester.

Mazza is the grandson of Joyce Mazza of Litte Egg Harbor, son of Joseph and Lucille Mazza of Garfield, and a 2016 graduate of Garfield High School..

Each completed eight weeks of training in military discipline, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

The airmen also earned four credits toward associate degrees in applied science through the Community College of the Air Force.
