Adult and child reported dead in Long Branch home
Two people were found dead in a Long Branch home on Friday night.
The two were identified as a 62-year-old woman and an 11-year-old girl, according to the Asbury Park Press.
The discovery on Lippincott Avenue was confirmed to NJ.com by Long Branch Public Safety Director Jason Roebuck, who also disputed a neighborhood rumors the two had been shot.
News 12 New Jersey reports the deaths are considered suspicious by authorities.
Charles Webster, spokesman for the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office says an autopsy is scheduled for today on the two victims as their investigation continues.
