New Jersey's own Meryl Streep is considered by many to be the greatest living actress, and she is on the doorstep of another Academy Award this weekend.

Meryl Streep is nominated for Lead Actress for her work in "The Post", and if she wins, it will be her fourth Oscar. She has been nominated for Academy Awards an amazing twenty one times.

So to celebrate New Jersey's greatest Academy Awards connection, we present five things you probably don't know about Meryl Streep, according to IMDB.

Hope you tipped her well. Meryl was a waitress at Hotel Somerset in Somerville before she made it in acting.

Not a fan. The legendary actress Katharine Hepburn's least favorite modern actress was, yep, Meryl Streep, according to Hepburn's biographer.

Objection, your honor. Meryl signed up for law school but slept in the day of the interview and decided that was a sign she should be doing something else.

The graduate. She went to Bernards High School (Brenardsville) and graduated from there in 1967.
