The SUV, in the owner's driveway, was unlocked and the ignition key was inside, police said, after responding to Crape Myrtle Driver at about 6:36 AM. The owner told them that two other vehicles were looted as well.

Patrol officers scouting the area found that another unlocked vehicle, on Crimson King Drive, had been rifled through. Later, people on Cindy Court and Tranquility Court reported items stolen from their unlocked vehicles. Police said that a dark-colored sedan was seen on Tranquility Court at about 2 AM.

Police urge car owners to remove key fobs and lock their vehicles, especially overnight. Anyone with knowledge of the incidents can call Detective Sergeant Martinez, 732-946-9690, ext. 1745.
