We have dreamed about summer weather at the Jersey Shore all winter long, and now reality sets in. It's summer at the Jersey Shore, and we all know what that means.

Summer at the Jersey Shore means a lot of things. Some of them great, but quite frankly, some are not so great. Here are 3 things Jersey Shore residents say goodbye to now that summer is here.

(1) Any normal drive to anywhere on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. We all know it starts on Thursday afternoon and it doesn't end until lunchtime on Monday. Cars everywhere. Traffic everywhere. All the time (except Tuesday and Wednesday, and that's probably when they'll do construction).

(2) Any normal crowd anywhere on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.  It doesn't matter if it's the ice cream place, the supermarket or your favorite restaurant, there will be a wait. Ad  a half hour to everything you have to do outside your house until September.

(3) Any peace and quiet anywhere on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Yes, Jersey Shore, there will be noise. There will be noise from adults who never use their inside voice. There will be beeping and yelling and drinking. What there won't be is peace and quiet.

I want to go on record as saying that I love the Jersey Shore in the summer, and I love, or at least deal with, everything that goes along with summer here. It's all good. We know what's coming, but that doesn't make any of the above observations untrue.

So here we go my friends. Summer at the Jersey Shore. It's here again. We all wanted it, now let's hope we're ready for it.
