There are oh so many reasons why it's hard to be a Mets fan, so narrowing it down to three isn't easy.

I don't even know where to begin with this one, but if you are a Mets fan, it's important, especially now, to remind you that you're not alone. And if you love a Mets fan, we want to shed some light on the sheer pain.

So with that in mind, here are three reasons that seem positive but they're not. They're actually reasons why it's so hard to be a New York Mets fan, in no specific order.

Your team gets to break records. Sounds good, right? Yep. until you realize the records they're breaking are the one's like last night, when they suffered the worst loss in the team's history. (They lost to the Nationals last night 25-4, yea no typo, it was 25-4)

Your summer nights are free. Who doesn't want their nights free in the summer? Umm, fans of winning baseball teams, that's who. Yankees fans, as an example, talk baseball through November. Mets fans are done in mid June.

Plenty of tickets available. Let's be honest. The only people who are excited about going a Mets game at CitiField are the players from the opposing teams. I'd suggest lowering prices, but unless they're lowered to,oh I don't know, maybe zero, to make some fans happy.

If you're favorite reason for why it's hard to be a Mets fan isn't here, don't feel bad. There are literally hundreds, and maybe yours will be part of our next installment of what promises to be a long series.
